Как сопоставлять и перемещать файлы в соответствующие папки с помощью Python

Я довольно новичок в программировании, и это моя первая попытка создать сложный скрипт с использованием Python

Цель программы, которую я создаю, такова:

• чтобы просмотреть список файлов (всего 360 файлов в одной папке)
• извлеките 3 уникальных символа из имени файла и создайте папку на основе этих 3 символов (всего 60 уникальных папок)
• Создайте цикл for, который проходит через список файлов в исходной папке и перемещает его в свою папку. соответствующая целевая папка.

Пример:

Имя файла: KPHI_SDUS81_N3KDIX_201205261956

Папка, созданная на основе символов: N3K

Я могу сделать первые 2 вещи в моем списке выше, но мне трудно заставить работать 3-ю. Я заглянул в шутил.шевелись, ОС.путь.гуляй, и ОС.переименуйте функции и не смогли заставить их работать. Я продолжаю получать ошибку:

Куда = targetsrc(wheretonumber) TypeError: объект 'list' не вызывается

У меня есть ОС.переименовать и шутил.переместить прокомментировал, так как я пытаюсь различные функции. Верна ли моя логика в подходе или я что-то упускаю? Есть ли предложения по другим функциям, чтобы попробовать или изменения в моем коде, чтобы заставить его переместить файлы в папку?
